This year’s Cobras team is younger than in recent years, with half of the squad playing U16 Tier 1 for the first time. Isca were well organised and disciplined. They made the most of their opportunities with their first goal coming from a drag flick heading into the roof of the net, which was initially saved on the line by Tilly C but was put in on the rebound. Another followed before half time.

Cobras had a better 2nd half as passing connections improved and we mounted more substantial attacks with Ellie T doing particularly well to get behind the defence. The team won a good number of PCs but their GK saved all the on target shots. Sadly, due to the late start, we lost our capt, Tilly C, part way through to another activity. It was frustrating to concede 2 further goals when the balance of play was in our favour. The squad remain positive and important lessons were learnt, which will be followed up using video review. The opposition selected Bella C as PoM. Thank you to Jerry for travelling to umpire.
