An abnormally warm November afternoon saw the Cheltenham Ladies 2s travelling down to Bristol for a nail biting six pointer.

It was a nervy start for Cheltenham, who were put under early pressure, and conceded the first goal.

The CHC girls came back fighting and startedhh to gain more possession, which was rewarded by a perfectly executed short corner that levelled the scoresheet for half time.

The second half was a different matter, with Cheltenham dominating more of the play, resulting in three well-constructed team goals.

Credit to Old Bristolans who kept the pressure on for the whole game.

However, this was Cheltenham’s day and it was a team effort starting at the back with excellent goalkeeping, a tireless and brave defence, gutsy creative midfielders, and a spirited forward line. Special mention to the six under-18s who made a significant contribution.
