The U16B move on to the third round of the Tier 1 Plate after a convincing win over Sutton Coldfield (SC) following a goal fest.
The match did not start well when we allowed SC to score after just 5 mins, primarily through over excitement and pushing forward too much. Will recovered the situation 2 mins later. A period of calm prevailed before we scored 3 goals in 3 mins midway through the half but then allowed SC to score 2 before half time.
The second half was more bizarre than the first with ill-discipline affecting our performance - 2 yellows and 3 greens. After about 9 mins we scored a further 3 goals in 6 mins before allowing SC to score then 2 more to us in 2 mins with a final goal to SC just at the end.
Scorers were: Henry (3), Will (2), Jonty, Barney, Lucas and N/K. A particular well done to Monty and Max S.
We move on to the next round on 5 Feb 23.
