The U16 Girls Cobras Qualify for the Supra (National) League post-Christmas

The U16G Cobras have repeated last year's success by once again qualifying for one of the 4 Supra (National) Leagues post-Christmas. This is a particularly impressive performance as 75% of the squad are U15. It is also a diverse squad with players from nine different schools representing the squad.

The West League has been extremely tight; Clifton Robinsons ran out winners as the only unbeaten team but the next 3 teams all finished on 12 points with the final positions decided on GD and the result between Cheltenham and Lansdown.

The squad has been led from the front by Caitlin who has inspired those around her even when our opponents have targeted her; it has sometimes required 3 of them to stop her legally or illegally. We have been grateful to three GKs that have represented the team so far, Eleanor, Meg and Lottie. Rose, who was the Players' Player for this game has been resolute in defence throughout and well supported by Laurel, Liv and Annette. The screen pairing of Tilda and Alice has worked effectively thus providing a solid base from which to attack. In midfield Ava, Arwen and Amelia have supported Caitlin and provided the link to our fast and hardworking forwards drawn from Evie, Maddie, Jess, Katie J and Farrah. Others who have made appearances are Katie H, Mia, Claudia and Hannah.

Now it is on to indoor before returning to outdoor in the New Year. Thank you to all the parents for transportation and support.
