The CHC Charity Hockey Tournament takes place this August - an event built around everything that makes hockey in Gloucestershire so valued: respect, friendship, and a genuine love of the game.
Importantly, the event will be held in memory of Charlie Drake, a much-loved member of the CHC family, who we sadly lost to leukemia in 2025. Charlie brought energy, kindness, and joy to everyone around him, and this event is a chance to celebrate his life in a way that reflects those same qualities. All money made from the tournament will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust and Leukemia UK.
CHC will take on Cheltenham College in a fun, mixed ability match, from 6pm on Friday August 21st , at Linton Pitch at Cheltenham College. Spectators more than welcome!
Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester, and Lansdown will compete in a men's and women's 11-aside tournament taking place simultaneously, with matches running throughout the day. Schedule below.
There will be food and drink stalls, and a raffle, with our aim to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charities.
We would like to thank our partner, Cheltenham College, for providing the pitches free of charge, meaning that each team's entire entry fee will be donated to charity.
