CHC celebrates U16 Cheetahs’ phenomenal season

What a season for the CHC U16B team, the Cheetahs.

  • Tier 2 League Champions (unbeaten)
  • Avon League Champions
  • EH Tier 2 Cup Quarter-finalists

The Avon League title was secured in particularly dramatic fashion. With seven U14 players from CJHC stepping up and the team needing a four-goal margin to overtake Old Bristolians on goal difference, it was a tense start.

The first goal came midway through the first half, followed by a second just before the break. The second half began strongly with a quick third, but chances were hard to convert as the clock ticked down. The crucial fourth goal finally arrived midway through the half, with two more added late on to seal an emphatic and well-earned title win.

A fantastic effort from the entire squad, showing determination, resilience, and a real drive to succeed.

The stats do the talking

This season, 45 players registered for the Cheetahs, with 38 featuring in competitive matches. In addition, eight CJHC U14 players stepped up during the season, gaining valuable experience at U16 level — a testament to the strength of the partnership between the CHC Academy and CJHC.

Success extended well beyond the Avon League. Across two leagues and a cup competition, the Cheetahs played 13 matches, winning 11 and losing just 2.

  • Goals scored: 58
  • Goals conceded: 14

This marks the strongest Cheetahs season in many years.

County Honours

The club’s strength is also reflected at county level, with 16 of the 21 players in the Gloucestershire U15 squad coming from CHC. The county side has been expertly coached by Liv Peacey (Academy U18 / Women’s 1s).

An outstanding season — and an exciting future ahead.

Huge thanks to Dave Peacey, lead coach of the CHC Cheetahs.
