U16 Boys Qualify for the Supra (National) League post-Christmas

The Club's U16B qualified in style for one of the 4 Supra (National) Leagues post-Christmas. They performed confidently in their last 2 league games on Sunday with a 3-3 draw against league winners, Isca, with 2 goals from Will and one from Henry. Following a short break, the team took on Bath Buccs. A sleepy start led to Bath taking an early lead. Henry responded midway through the half but Bath came back with a second. Henry equalised and the teams were even at the break. Applying more structure to the second half eliminated the Bath threat in the middle of the field. We also played to our strength on the counter attack with two more outstanding goals from Henry and a particularly good upright reverse to top right from Ed S driving through from screen. Will also got in on the action again with a solid PC goal. Also no cards in the second game!

Well done to all members of the squad and a particular thank you to Zander for standing in as GK and performing very well. Stout defence from our regulars, Oli, Alex, Ed W and Ed S; plenty of creativity from Jonty, Barney and Will in midfield; and outstanding running and skill from Henry upfront. Finally, a well done to Charlie for filling in at RB and creating attacking opportunities on the right; Monty for his tackling, possession passing and flexibility; and Max for his hard work and some super crosses.
