This was a young U16B team that were competing against two other clubs, who have much more experience playing indoor hockey. Matches were also long for indoor games - 30 mins. The first match against Clifton was a baptism of fire as the squad adjusted to the indoor format having not previously trained as a team. This was a 1-10 loss. The second game followed immediately afterwards but demonstrated an enhanced performance. We even took the lead before Wotton stepped up a gear. Two goals later brought it back to a final score of 3-6.
Well done, boys, on a courageous effort and a first experience of indoor matches for a number of our younger squad members.
