The season so far

  • The men’s 1s have started the new season well, with two wins and one loss, sitting in third position.
  • The men’s 2s are in 10th position, having won one and lost two, in a new league after promotion last season.
  • The men’s 3s enjoyed their first win last weekend, having suffered two defeats previously. They sit in 7th place.
  • The women’s 1s are a week ahead, having played four fixtures, wining two and losing two. They are in 7th position.
  • The women’s 2s, also promoted this season, are looking for their first win this weekend, having drawn two and lost one in a tough league. They sit in 9th position.
  • The women’s 3s are hoping for promotion, and currently sit in second position, having won two and drawn one.
  • The women’s 4s are new to their league and are smashing it! With two wins from two matches, the women have a goal difference of +27 already.
  • The men’s O35s is a newly formed team featuring many ex men’s 1s players. They will play in their first cup match at home against Witney -details below.
  • The men’s O45s will take over from last year’s O40s to play in their first cup match away against Banbury on Sun 01 Dec.
  • The Wednesdays continue their usual round of fixtures against local teams; most recently winning 2-1 against Clifton Robinsons in a highly competitive match.
  • The U16 boys head their tier 2 league with two wins from two. The U16 boys training numbers are the highest ever at c40, which is very encouraging.
  • The U16 girls Cobras (A team) sit 5th in their tier 1 league on GD with one win from two but with a mixed set of results across the league, there is all to play for.
  • The U16 girls Cheetahs (B team) sit 5th in the tier 2 league with one win from two. The U16 girls’ training numbers are also the highest ever with c60 in the club, which is very gratifying.
