We are absolutely delighted to announce that Simon Padley will continue to lead the Women's 1s coaching team for the 2024-25 season.
Simon Padley - Padders to those who know him - has been involved in professional coaching for over 20 years. He is currently the Head of Hockey and Assistant Director of Sport: Performance at Cheltenham Ladies College and is enjoying his second stint as Ladies 1st XI Head Coach.
He has played for CHC since he was 11 years old, enjoying multiple promotions with the Men's 1st XI, including their return to the National League, and enjoying a number of seasons playing in the national league before focusing his time on coaching.
Padders was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for a suite of Coaching degrees at the University of Gloucestershire for 15 years and has lead coach education across the coaching sector. He has recently graduated from the Advanced Coaching Programme with GB Hockey and is currently serving on the Coaching Advisory Group.
Padders is CHC through and through, and passionately believes in helping teams and individuals achieve their dreams through commitment, hard work, an open mind set, and relentless pursuit of improvement.
