A trip to the Cotswold school for the ladies 3s, to face Bourton & Sherbourne. Cheltenham was rewarded for their tenacious start, with an early goal from a well worked short corner. The travelling team maintained the pressure and earned a second at the 20-minute mark from some lovely open play. A third goal followed before the break.
In the second half, CHC took every opportunity to rotate their big squad, giving players the chance to try new positions. By continually introducing fresh legs, the pace of the game and pressure remained high.
Both teams played the match in good spirit, and play was managed by some excellent umpiring. The youth in the CHC side learnt some valuable lessons today, when picking up cards for avoidable errors. All a great learning experience. CHC slotted home a fourth goal before the final whistle, securing the three points.
