Cheltenham runs one U18 girls team, competing in the West League and the National Cup. Matches take place on Sundays.
The U18 girls also compete in the West Indoor League and we enter a team into the Copper Box Indoor tournament between Christmas and New Year, which is great fun.
U18 Girls training is on a Friday evening, 2000-2100 hrs, at Cheltenham College. The session offers training for all standards. The coaches are Phil Robson (Level 3 and Army Coach), Simon Mason (England Masters), Dave Peacey (Level 2) and Anne Tranter.
The group is always vibrant, supportive and energetic, bringing together girls from a wide variety of schools, which is excellent for developing new friendships.
Cheltenham U18 girls may also train with the adult squads on a Tuesday and/or Thursday depending on their ability. Players available on Saturdays can play for one of our 3 ladies teams in adult leagues. The Ladies 1s play in the National League.
The CHC girls youth teams have had a number of individual and team successes in recent years. Several girls have achieved international honours while others have played in the Futures Cup or participated in the Diploma in Sporting Excellence or attended Performance Centres. Many have progressed through the adult teams to play National League and are now representing their universities.
Highlights include:
National T2 Semi-Finalists 2022, National Indoor Finalists 2020, National T2 Champions 2017.
