A fantastic day for this group of elite athletes, who represented CHC at the annual Blockley Mixed Tournament.
CHC finished the group matches in second place, which qualified them for a semi-final match against the Barbarians. There was little to divide the teams, and the game ended 1-1. Shuffles would decide the result. Once again, the CHC team entertained the crowd with some gripping goal-mouth action, with the players more focused on flair than actually scoring. As a result, all 10 players were called upon to take a shuffle, and the mighty team won in the last round.
On to the final against Yate, who scored two well-worked goals to be crowned the winners.
A huge thanks to Blockley for organising such a brilliant tournament, and for lending Ross their BBQ so that he could cook his own lunch.
